He has been serving as a pastor for 19 years with enduring passion for the lost. He has a long list of impressive qualification including a Dip. Th, B Th, and an MA in Organisational Leadership and Management.

Let Alusine tell you his story...

Born in a Muslim home, I am the seventh son of a family of eighteen. My father had seven wives and my mother was the second. At the age of nine, I entered the Arabic school for children. I completed the studying of the Quran at the age of twelve.

I became very active in the mosque and was consequently ordained as an assistant Imam (Sheik). My contribution in the world of Islam coupled with the vast knowledge I had in the Quran made me become a figure of admiration in my community. Consequently, I held key positions in the leadership structure of the mosque. I was the only person at that age (15 yrs) that climbed up the leadership ladder of Islam in the history of my country. Doubtlessly, I became the hope of my community and the pride of my family. My fame spread nationally like wild fire in the Harmantan season.

was consequently ordained as an assistant Imam

In 1988, I was numbered amongst the pilgrims to visit Mecca and fulfill one of the rites of Islam (Hajj). This opportunity was accorded to me for two reasons: (a) Let the world know that God is raising an Islamic giant in an insignificant nation like Sierra Leone that would one day become a force to reckon with, (b) Be a point of contact to touch the lives of young people that would lead to their conversion to Islam through my testimony. I considered myself the most fortunate human being on planet earth. I saw myself at the top of the world. My aims and aspirations amongst other was to be the best Islamic scholar the world can ever produce, but little did I know that God had His own agenda for me.

A week before the journey, I dreamt Jesus in a white shinny robe handed over two scriptures to me: John 14 v. 6, and John 3 v. 16. I was stunned and speechless when He said in an audible voice; "FOLLOW ME". I woke up from my sleep and recited these scriptures. What amazed me most was the fact that, I had never in my life time read these scriptures before yet I was able to recalled them exactly as it is in the bible when I woke from my sleep.

I couldn't sleep for the rest of the night. In my confusing state, I went to a pastor friend in the morning (who later became my mentor and father in the Lord) and explained my experienced in the form of these dream. He seized the opportunity and explained to me the love and saving Grace of Christ. I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior and my life was changed. I felt peace I had never felt before for the first time in my life.

I was not fit to be alive and so i was declared wanted by the Islamic community. This prompted me to go into hiding for six months.

I turned the offer of going to Mecca down. This decision stirred up the greatest tragedy in my life. To the Islamic world, I was considered a big betrayal and to my family, I was a disgrace and a shame. I was not fit to be alive and so i was declared wanted by the Islamic community. This prompted me to go into hiding for six months. During these six months of oblivion, I went through discipleship class and was baptized. I experienced a new life and felt myself very close to God. I discovered a relationship I did not discover while I was a Muslim, I found a love no one has ever told me about ever since I was born. Indeed, I became a new creature in Christ Jesus.

Miraculously, God in His providence brought me out only to reconcile me again with my parents. Within a year, my father and mother and ten of my family members received Jesus as their Lord and personal Saviour. The story of my family was changed.

I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior and my life was changed. I felt peace I had never felt before for the first time in my life.

Since then, I started experiencing a lot of transformations. I became very active in the church until when i received the call to serve as a pastor in 1994. I developed a great passion to win the lost at all cost. I participated in lot of seminars and conferences in a bid to deepen my knowledge and understanding about Christ. My personal commitment in the work of God became my ultimate desire. Because of my quest for spiritual insight, my relationship with the Lord became deeper and deeper everyday.

Notwithstanding, I found myself contributing in kingdom building. By the Grace of God, I have served as a channel in bringing many souls to Christ (including imams), trained lot of pastors and disciple countless believers who are presently active in kingdom service. I have planted several churches and also pioneered the planting of several churches both national and internationally.

Miraculously, God in His providence brought me out only to reconcile me again with my parents.

Presently, I am a church planter and trainer of trainees in church planting movement. I see myself as an instrument God is using in bringing spiritual transformation in Africa and the world at large. It is not about me but all about Christ.

It is an Africa that took the cross of Christ to Calvary (Simeon of Cyrene) and I believe God is looking for Africans to take that same cross all over the world. I AM ONE OF THEM. This is the testimony of man who was once an Imam (Muslim Leader) whom the saving Grace of God saved in an insignificant nation called Sierra Leone in the very heart of Africa.
