Hi[FIRSTNAME] We once again are getting ready to head off to Sierra Leone this Monday, our 10th trip. We would greatly value your prayers for this 2 week trip. Both Barbara and I are going, along with Helen Ritchie of CFC Strandtown. Nicky Wilkinson, an Elim missionary from Dewsbury Elim (near Leeds) will join us at Gatwick for the start of 6 months working for us. We also have Robin and Martha joining us for the second week from Portland, Oregon. They, along with Barbara, will be running a Women's Conference. Barbara will also be doing some Medical Education Seminars for mothers and village clinics for kids. BABY RESCUE CENTRE Our new Baby Rescue Centre is almost ready for opening. We will be taking in babies who's mothers have died in childbirth and next of kin is not a viable option. Sierra Leone has the highest maternal death rate in the world, 3 in 10 mothers in rural Sierra Leone die in childbirth and quite often leaving very sick babies that we can physically nurse and saturate them in prayer under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. We hope to return many of them back into their communities where possible. We will be visiting the 2 local hospitals, building relationships with their management. ORPHANAGE HOME We opened a new home in September for 15 of the very vulnerable orphans. Their ages range from 4 to 19. REMOTE VILLAGE SCHOOL We will also be visiting our first Remote village school that was assessed during the trip last Feb. This is for 60 kids that would not otherwise be at school. Nicky will be working to nurture this new school. OTHER VILLAGE OUTREACH We will be taking the gospel into a larger chiefdom village (at the Imams invitation!!). We will be doing both adult and children's work there. This we pray, will be yet another 'Kingdom Extension' if we get the sponsorship for it - we don't call them church plants anymore as the Kingdom Jesus taught is so much more than what people perceive as church. We have 4 other Kingdom Extensions with now over 400 people attending. NICKY WILKINSON Will be helping to resource the teachers in our main school in Bo (126 kids) and generally nurturing the school into a more modern era of teaching. This also includes implementing our child protection policy and overseeing the introduction of a positive discipline system. She also will be rolling out a children's Holy Spirit Teaching Programme put together by Mike Seth of The Grace Center, Franklin, Tennessee and a programme outreaching to street girls. She will also be working closely with the local Assemblies of God Church.
