Page 4 of 17 Policy Statement On Child Protection For Volunteers FHMI is fully committed to protecting all children and young people at home and abroad. ‘Volunteers involved in FHMI's initiatives and activities have a duty to protect children and young people with whom they have contact. Volunteers therefore should respect the rights, safety and welfare of all children and young people. FHMI has a duty and responsibility to inform the appropriate statutory authorities, if we suspect a child / young person is or may be suffering abuse and harm'. Volunteers with FHMI will be bound by our Child Protection Policy and Procedures.
